ARB (Activated Roller Belt)
ARB Technology is a technology developed as a solution to automation systems that are costly and complex. This technology provides fast, inexpensive, and multi-purpose solutions for carrying packages from point A to point B instead of simple conveyor belt solutions. ARB Systems developed for complicated package carriage problems may be used for a large variety of applications as sorting and merging systems and fulfill the needs in this sense by attaining high speeds.
How does it operate?
An equipped ARB conveyor is a product that has freely-rotating rollers on it, rather than a flat conveyor belt. The rollers take place above and below the belt and are placed on the belt surface at the angles of 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, or 90° in line with the direction of the belt. Moreover, it can be used by means of making a combination of the angles according to the need. The rollers are activated by driving from below upon the belt’s forward movement. The enabled rollers move the product they carry on them depending on the angle of placement of the roller. Products may be carried on a flat conveyor belt as they are, unless the drive is provided from below. Thanks to this unique capability of it, the directions, speeds, locations, and orders of the products can be conveniently altered without the presence of rails and complex mechanical controls.
